Two cities receive OSLAD grants
A $400,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant has been awarded to the village of Lisle to help fund a downtown children’s play area, while the village of Romeoville has received a $400,000 OSLAD grant to help build Deer Crossing Park and a $500,000 OSLAD grant to continue a Romeoville High School bike path and to begin preliminary engineering on a pedestrian bridge over Weber Road.

New name for law firm
St. Charles-based Wessels & Pautsch, P.C., a labor and employment law firm, has changed its name to Wessels Pautsch & Sherman P.C., in recognition of senior shareholder James B. Sherman.

Architecture firm opens new office
Muterspaugh + Associates, Architects/Planners, has opened a new office in the Elgin Tower building, 100 E. Chicago St., Suite 902, in downtown Elgin.

Savant recognized twice
“Chicago Magazine” identified Savant Capital Management, Inc., a wealth management firm with four locations in the suburban area, as the top independent advisor in the Chicago area. In addition, “Register Rep” magazine ranked Savant 63rd in its annual list of the top 100 registered investment advisors in the U.S.
